I-Search Blog Oral Presentations

Part I. Requirements:

  • Your blog needs to complete. Everyone is going to see your work, and you do not want an unfinished product.
  • Review the aesthetics of your blog. Is the page layout, font size, and font color conducive to viewing with the lights off?
  • Components of Your Presentation:
    • Time Restraints
      • Your presentation should be at least four minutes but should last no longer than five.
    • Visual Aids
      • Page Layout- Explain your color choice, layout choice, and logo.
      • Show and explain appropriate short videos, photos, graphs, maps, and/or charts to provide visual insight about your topic.
    • Outline
      • You are required to use note cards for your presentation. Each of the following topics should have one note card with bulleted points to answer the prompt.
        • What is the purpose of your blog? Use storytelling techniques to keep us interested.
        • What was your hypothesis? (Essential Questions)
        • What was the conclusion to this hypothesis?
        • What was the most shocking, intriguing, or interesting fact that you found? Why?
        • Should this blog be considered as a reliable source about this topic? Why?
